Everything on this site is general information about Part 1 of the Land Compensation Act 1973. It is not legal advice on your circumstances, and reading it creates no professional relationship between us. Take advice before serving or settling a claim.

The postcode check, Claim Score, claim estimator and valuation tool are triage aids built from published scheme data, open planning records and Land Registry sale prices. They are not valuations, and they are not confirmation of legal entitlement. Distances are measured to the mapped centre of a scheme, opening dates are indicative until confirmed with the acquiring authority, and any figure shown is an estimate that a formal assessment may move in either direction.

The assistant is an automated tool. It can be wrong, and it does not know the facts of your case beyond what you tell it. Do not rely on it for a decision about your claim without speaking to us.

Reasonable professional fees on a successful Part 1 claim are recoverable from the acquiring authority, commonly by reference to Ryde's Scale, and we work on a no win, no fee basis. A one-off administration fee opens a claim file and is agreed in writing beforehand. The fees page sets this out in full.

Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you upload, and you confirm you have the right to share any document or photograph you add to a claim file. We may remove content that is unlawful or not yours.

We aim to keep the site available but cannot guarantee it, and we may change or withdraw any tool. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the indicative outputs described above.

Planning results come from published local authority registers via the open PlanIt aggregator, postcode locations from postcodes.io, and sale prices from HM Land Registry Price Paid Data. We present that data in good faith but do not control its accuracy or completeness.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
